About

A local crew named for the hills.

Black bears live in this part of New York. So do old houses, two colleges, and a brick downtown. Bear Junk Solutions is junk removal based in Oneonta, NY 13820 — priced after we see the pile, locked before we load, handled the way the county wrote it down.

What we do

You point to what needs to leave. We give you a price, load it, and haul it — including upstairs furniture, basement clutter, and garage overflow.

We do not take hazardous material, asbestos, pressurized tanks, or electronics destined for the dump. If you’re unsure, ask before you book.

How we work

Send a list, photos, and the address. We price each job in person after we see the pile. Nothing loads until you agree to the number. If what’s there is different than described, we stop and requote before we continue.

Someone should be there at the start to walk us through the job. After that, you don’t need to stand over us.

Why we stay local

Oneonta is hills, student rentals, Victorian stairs, and a lot of “we’ll deal with that later” storage. Being based in 13820 means shorter trips and clearer scheduling — especially around SUNY and Hartwick move-out.

We serve Oneonta, Cooperstown, Milford, Otego, Unadilla, Worcester, Laurens, Schenevus, and surrounding areas within reason. If we can’t cover an address well, we’ll tell you.

What happens to the load

Usable goods go to local reuse when they’ll take them — Otsego ReUse Center, Salvation Army on Main, and similar spots for the right items. We don’t promise a donation will be accepted.

Otsego County requires commercial haulers to source-separate recyclables and deliver to county-designated facilities. Residual waste goes to those facilities — the Southern Transfer Station in Oneonta and the Northern station in Cooperstown. Scrap metal and appliances follow the county path. The landfill is last. We will not pretend every load skips it.

This site does not list a hauler license number or a DEC permit number. Commercial hauling here is regulated. We follow those rules instead of decorating the page with claims we can’t back.
